Absolutely Wonderful Stay! Brooke’s newly renovated duplex was perfect in every way! The space felt brand new — spotless, beautifully designed, and equipped with stylish new furniture and modern amenities. You can tell a lot of care went into every detail, from the cozy decor to the comfortable beds and well-stocked kitchen. The location couldn’t be better — close to everything but still quiet and relaxing. Brooke was an amazing host: responsive, friendly, and made sure our stay was seamless. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and upscale home away from home. I’ll definitely be staying here again!

Getting Around Plaza Shamrock – A Survival Guide for the Carless and Curious Welcome to Plaza Shamrock, where everything cool is just close enough to make you question whether you really need that Uber. Getting around here is a breeze—as long as your definition of “breeze” includes walking, biking, and occasionally praying your bus shows up on time. 🚶‍♀️ Walking Totally doable. You’ll pass charming homes, suspiciously fit joggers, and at least one person walking a dog that looks like it owns a trust fund. NoDa, Plaza Midwood, and Elizabeth are all within “I wore cute shoes but didn’t plan to walk this far” distance. 🚲 Biking If you’ve got wheels, you’re golden. The streets are bike-friendly-ish, and you’ll feel like a local zipping past traffic while silently judging people stuck in cars. 🚌 Public Transit Yes, Charlotte has buses. And yes, they actually go places. The Plaza & Shamrock stop is nearby, with routes like 3, 4, and 23 that’ll get you to Uptown, NoDa, and beyond. Just check the schedule unless you enjoy spontaneous adventures. 🚗 Driving & Parking If you brought a car, congrats—you’re the designated ride-share for your group. Parking’s not bad, and you’ll be just minutes from all the neighborhoods that make Charlotte charming and slightly overpriced. 🚆 Light Rail Sugar Creek Station is about an 18-minute walk away. It’s perfect if you want to pretend you live in a city with real mass transit. Bonus: it makes you feel cosmopolitan while avoiding Uptown traffic.
